Concrete pour @ the Wilshire Grand Center
the mat pour tonight was incredible. In addition to all the pomp and circumstance, it was an engineering triumph. i have never been witness to such a dance of equipment and machinery. I think I got some pretty good shots, but i don’t want to be the judge of that. My time-lapses need some serious work, but they are very fun to attempt.

Wilshire Grand
The historic Wilshire Grand Hotel is now a giant hole in the ground.
Yesterday I walked the streets of downtown LA for 5 hours, shooting 3 hours of pre-construction video for Turner Construction and CalPortland. Lots of editing to do. Look forward to excerpts.
Next Saturday will be the largest cement pour in North America as they fill in the foundation for the tallest building west of the Mississippi. Hoping to post time lapse videos of the event.
